Jane Adele (Greer) Olin

Jane Adele Olin, 76, of Henryville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 19, 2025. She was born in Mount Vernon, Ohio on August 30, 1948, to the late R. Blaine and Susan (Heaton) Greer.

A woman of unwavering faith and quiet strength, Jane was a dedicated member of Memphis Christian Church . She was a Lifetime Associate Member of the Marine Corps League. Her life was marked not by accolades or achievements, but by her deep devotion to her family and her Lord.

She lived as a child in the Greer, Ohio area, and was graduated from both Danville High School (1966) and Ashland College (1970). On June 14, 1969, she married James L. Olin of Ashland.

She home-schooled her 4 children, then tutored her grandchildren and others for high school courses. Once their children were grown, she worked many years at the Clark County Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Above all, Jane will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her kindness, grace, and steadfast love shaped generations, and her legacy lives on through the lives she touched so deeply.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, James Lewis Olin; her children, Jennifer Collins (John), Joseph Olin (Sara), Benjamin Olin (Sarah), and Mark Olin; her treasured grandchildren, Joshua Collins, Andrew Collins, Gabriel Collins, Blaine Olin (Bethany), Esther Olin, Abigail Olin, Jeremiah Olin, Hannah Olin, David Olin (Elizabeth), and Susan Greer (Noah); and her adored great-grandchildren, Selah Olin, Evan Olin, Peter Olin, Ella Olin, Avalyn Olin, Alli Greer, and Waylon Greer. Jane is also survived by her loving siblings, Marilyn Greer, David Greer, and Gretchen Tipton (Norman).

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 22, 2025, and from 12 to 2 p.m. on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana, with her funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the days to come at Workman Cemetery in Danville, Ohio.
