Jane Rose Parker (Crosier), 77, of Laconia, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 26, 2026. She was born on February 6, 1948, in Laconia, Indiana, to the late John Crosier and Edna Behnam Crosier.
Jane was a retired beautician and spent several years managing the Laconia General Store alongside her husband. She had a deep love for traveling and nature, and she especially cherished the many fishing trips she took with her husband and family to North Carolina and Florida. Jane was also a talented painter and an enthusiastic shopper, hobbies she enjoyed throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Edna Crosier; her brothers, William “Bill” Crosier and Jerry Crosier; her beloved son, John “Johnny” Craig Thompson; and her grandsons, Trinity and Kenny.
Jane is survived by her devoted husband of more than 46 years, Russell Parker; her son, Robert Jay Thompson Jr. (Nakesha); her stepson, Jerry Parker; and her grandchildren: Elliot, Samantha, Alex, and Matthew. She also leaves behind six great‑grandchildren; her brothers, James Edward “Eddie” Crosier (Debbie) and George Crosier; and her nieces and nephew—Jamie, Lisa, Chrissy, and Autumn—whom she loved as if they were her own children. Jane’s faithful dogs and constant companions, Ike and Axl, remained by her side even after her passing.
The family extends heartfelt appreciation to her nurse, Anna, for her exceptional care, compassion, and support.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her memory.
Scott Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. In accordance with Jane’s wishes, there will be no public funeral or memorial service.
