Janice Faye Molnar, a vibrant and creative soul, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, surrounded by the beauty and peace she so loved throughout her life. Born on December 20, 1946, in Connersville, Indiana, Janice lived a life full of color, compassion, and creativity.
A lifelong artist at heart, Janice found joy in the world of painting and pottery. Her hands, always busy with a brush or clay, brought beauty into the lives of those around her. She saw the world through an artist’s eyes—finding wonder in nature, in people, and in the simplest of moments. Her home was filled with her own creations, blooming plants, and joyful color, reflecting the warmth and light she carried within her.
Janice was also a woman of faith and dedication. A proud and active member of Wall Street United Methodist Church, she sang with love in the church choir and found deep meaning in her spiritual community. Her service extended far beyond the pews—Janice devoted her time to teaching Braille at the School for the Blind, leaving a lasting impact on the students she guided with patience and care.
A free spirit in every sense, Janice embraced life with enthusiasm. She was known for her colorful wardrobe, her love of flowers and gardening, and her infectious laugh. A loyal friend, she treasured her weekly card games with her beloved Class of 1965 friends from Jeffersonville High School, a tradition that brought her great joy and lasting memories.
Janice’s kindness, creativity, and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving cousins, Elizabeth Quinkert (Terry), Andrea Wetzel, Robert Wetzel, and Nathan Wetzel (Toni); her dear sister-in-law, Murney Brown; and many extended family members and cherished friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. A funeral service celebrating Janice’s life will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janice’s memory to Wall Street United Methodist Church, where her voice, spirit, and presence will always be remembered.
Though Janice has painted her final canvas, her colors live on in the hearts of those she touched.
