Jason Anthony Gribbins came into the world on February 13, 1998 weighing 4 pounds, 13 ounces alongside his twin and longest friend, Corey. He left much too soon on January 26, 2022, but he left this world better for having been in it. He had an unforgettable and always present smile and a hug for everyone he met. Wrapping your arm around his tiny waist, you would feel such casual joy and contentment. He loved his grandmommy’s chippy dippies, he was master at the hula hoop, and he could play video games all day. He loved basketball and a great pair of socks. He was a graduate of Jeffersonville High School class of 2016 . He leaves behind a large circle of friends, including those he went to school with and those he worked with at Clucker’s. Those of us who called him son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend were the luckiest. He was loved beyond measure.
He is survived by his father Tony Gribbins and wife Courtney; his mother Teresa Gribbins; his siblings Ryan Matthews, sister Melanie Schmidt and husband Collin, twin brother Corey Gribbins, sister Taylor Ward and husband Zack, and sister Camryn Whittington; his nephews Ryker Ward and soon to arrive Booker Schmidt; his grandparents Mike and Rose Craig, and Jim and Mary Gribbins; and a large family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Mimaw Lena Hudson. Jason was genuine; he was real.
There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 2-6pm with service to follow at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
