Obituary
Jean Carol Ruthruff, 85, of Sellersburg, Indiana passed away on February 28, 2023 at Lincoln Hills Nursing Home in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on August 21, 1937 in Kenly, North Carolina. Daughter of Clennon and Cassie (Rose) Outland. Jean was a receptionist for a ship yard company in Norfolk, Va for many years and was a dedicated worker. Jean enjoyed working crossword puzzles, playing Bingo, and loved her pets.
In addition to her parents , Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Ruthruff; sisters, Paige Bridges(Bill), Betty Montelongo; brother, Bobby Outland. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle O’Dell(Craig); sons, Mark Ruthruff(Susan), Michael Ruthruff(Kim); sister, Lottie Meeks(Jack); along with six grandchildren, Dusty(Abby), Tyler(Alyssa), Hunter(Hayley) Nicholas, Abby, Taryn.
There will be a private viewing at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana. Burial will take place in Kenly, North Carolina.
