Jerome "Jerry" Douglas Hartz

Jerome “Jerry” Douglas Hartz, 59, passed away on May 28, 2020. He worked as a metal fabricator for 26 years.  Jerry was a walking encyclopedia of rock music trivia, a blues enthusiast and loved sharing his passion of music by burning a CD for anyone interested.  He was an avid music concert goer and a supportive Oakland Raider fan. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Jean Hartz.

Jerry is survived by his father, Douglas Hartz; brother, Chris Hartz; sister, Valarie Hartz; nephew, Sean Jansing and niece, Scarlett Jansing.

Visitation will be Friday, June 5, 2020, from 3pm-8pm at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN.  A celebration of Jerry’s life will be Saturday, June 6, 2020, beginning at 10am at the funeral home.

Jerry will be laid to rest at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
