Joan Marie Webb, 82, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2025, at home with her family.
Born in Wichita Falls, Texas, to William and Sammie Douglas, Joan was blessed with two brothers, Mike and Charles Douglas. In 1960, she married Wilbert Tutt, and together they had two sons, Mike and Bryan. Following Wilbert’s passing in a work-related accident, Joan found the strength to relocate to Jeffersonville, Indiana, in 1971 to be near her church family. In 1973, she married Ray Webb, with whom she shared 50 wonderful years until his passing in 2023. Together, they welcomed a daughter, Rebekah, and a son, John, completing their loving family.
Joan was a woman of deep faith, joy, and kindness. She found great fulfillment in serving the Lord, cherishing time with her family, and admiring the beauty of God’s creation. Her cheerful spirit and unwavering love left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Mike Tutt (Kathy), Bryan Tutt, Rebekah Merewether, and John Webb; her brother, Mike Douglas (Mary Betty); eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, with one more on the way; and a host of extended family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Sammie Douglas; her husband, Wilbert Tutt; her husband, Ray Webb; her brother, Charles Douglas (Barbara); and many loved ones who have gone before her.
Visitation will be held at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway on Tuesday, March 4 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and again at Christ Gospel Church, 2614 East 10th Street on Wednesday, March 5 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
