Johnny Michael Knuckles

Johnny Michael Knuckles, 21, was suddenly and tragically taken from this life on the evening of Thursday, August 10, 2023.

Johnny was born in New Albany, Indiana to Shonda and Josh Knuckles. He was a 2021 graduate of Rock Creek Community Academy, where he excelled in football, track, and baseball. He was a beacon of kindness and leadership, a man of great character whose friendly demeanor and warm smile were constants that brightened the room.

His dedication in the classroom and on the field was an inspiring example for all. His passion for the outdoors was found through his time spent fishing, hunting, and all things dealing with adrenaline sports.

Johnny leaves a legacy of devotion to his family and will be missed by his parents, Shonda Knuckles (James) and Joshua Knuckles, Sr. (Jordan); siblings, Hailey, Joshua Jr., Jordan, Kaden, Judah, Amelia; maternal grandparents, Tom and Bernice Ballew; paternal grandfather, Johnny Knuckles; paternal grandmother, Jeanne Halverson; girlfriend, Destiny; and a host of other family members and friends who mourn his loss.

Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2023, at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway – Jeffersonville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at the funeral home, with cremation to follow.
