Joyce B. Hall, beloved mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of her Lord, Jesus Christ, peacefully passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023.
Joyce will be remembered most for her unwavering love and devotion as "Granny" to her family. Her warm smile and nurturing spirit brought joy to all who knew her. Her dedication to her loved ones was a cornerstone of her life.
In her free time, Joyce found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a knack for crossword puzzles, which she tackled with determination and a sense of fun. Her nimble fingers created beautiful pieces through her love of sewing, leaving her cherished creations as lasting reminders of her talent and care.
Joyce was a woman of deep faith and commitment to her personal relationship with her Lord, Jesus Christ. For many years, she was a cherished member of the Walnut Ridge Baptist Church, where she found strength, community, and a sense of purpose through her service.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim Hall; sister, Shirley; and great granddaughter, McKenna.
Joyce B. Hall's legacy is one of love, faith, and a nurturing heart that touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a family who will forever hold her memory dear. Survivors include her sons, Charles “Chuck” McCorkle (Judy) and Michael “Keith” McCorkle (Stacy); grandchildren, Brittany, Joshua, Cameron, Ashley, and Beverlee; sister, Ginny Spond; brother, Mike Miles (Moe); nine great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephew, and extended family members.
Visitation will be held 2-7 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2023, and prior to service time 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway – Jeffersonville. Funeral services will be celebrated 2 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the funeral home, with a private burial to occur at a later date in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
