Joyce Darby Lenz

Joyce Darby Lenz, 81, of Clarksville, IN, passed away on September 4, 2024 surrounded by her family. 

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, September 13, 2024 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN.  Visitation will be held Friday prior to services from 2 PM to 8 PM.  A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Mooreland Cemetery, Mooreland, IN.

Joyce was born on December 12, 1942 in Mooreland, IN, and a retired Reading Specialist Teacher for the New Albany Floyd County School System.  She loved spending her time with family and friends, reading and collecting books, and working with children and teaching them to read.

She was a 1961 graduate of Mooreland High School and a member of Mooreland South Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lenz; parents, Ivan and Lois Darby; son, Phillip David Glenn; and brothers, Larry Darby and Edd Darby.

Survivors include her son, Ronald Glenn (Carol); sister, Phyllis Lewis (Willis); sister-in-laws, Jackie Darby, Walda Roseman, Anna Huffman (Lynn), Barbara Leffingwell (Steve), and Kathy Morrison (Danny); brother-in-law, Doug Glenn (Rhonda); grandchildren, Meaghan Bach, Scott Glenn (Elizabeth), Bailey Barrie (Wil), and Kevin Glenn; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Hailey, Raegan, Kamron, Korinna, and Hudson; daughter-in-laws, Jennifer Cheatham (Jason) and Rhonda Glenn; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Mooreland Historical Society, P.O. Box 101, Mooreland, IN 47360.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral services.
