Juanita Oster Obituary

Juanita was born in Wyandotte MI to Arther and Marcella (Cain) Marchell Nov. 13 1941. She was the owner of the former Keela's Hallmark stores in Jeffersonville and Salem Indiana. She was a long time member of Wall St. United Methodist Church where she taught a Youth Sunday School Class for several years. Juanita was also the leader of the church's Loaves and Fishes committee and the committee for the Boys and Girls Club after school meals. She volunteered at the Center for Lay Ministries Food Bank for over 19 years where she was recently voted The Person of the Year for the Center. Juanita was a past President of the Jeffersonville Chapter of The Signe Phi Gamma Sorority and current President of its Alumni Chapter.

 

Juanita is survived by her Husband Ken, Daughter Keela, Son Todd (Jeannie), Brother Arnold Marchell (Barbara} Sister-in-Law Sue Ann Kalleres, the love of her life, Grand Daughter Grace, and several Nieces and Nephews and many many wonderful friends.

 

She has chosen cremation with a private family internment. 

 

A memorial service will be held Friday Oct. 8 at Wall St Church. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM with the service following. In lieu of flowers Juanita has requested donations to Wall St. Church and The Center for Lay Ministries Food Bank.
