Kaitlyn Nicole Wilkin "Katie"

A funeral service for Kaitlyn N. Wilkin “Katie”, 25, of Jeffersonville, IN, will be at 11 AM on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN. Visitation for Katie will be on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 from 4 PM – 8 PM and on Thursday from 10 AM – 11 AM at the funeral home. Katie passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Baptist Floyd.

Katie was born on May 30, 1995 in Louisville, KY. She was a loving mother to her son, Jaxon. She was an avid basketball and soccer player throughout her school years, and she enjoyed playing and coaching Upward Basketball through Oak Park Baptist Church. Athletics were not Katie’s only talent though. She was also very creative, and enjoyed drawing in her free time.

Katie is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, John Robert Gallatin.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved son, Jaxon Goodsell; mother, Melissa Goforth (Anthony Eddy); father, Louis Wilkin (Heather Ferguson); brother, Anthony Jones (Jordan Flener); maternal grandparents, Vivian and Dale Zollman and Conrad and Sharon Lowe; paternal grandparents, Alma Armstrong (Scott); and great-grandmother, Antonia Richardson; aunts, Samantha Stout (Loren); uncles, Richard Wilkin, T.J. Flener, and Kevin Flener; great aunt and uncle, Julissa and Manuel Garcia; one nephew, Tobias Jones; and a host of extended family members and friends.

Memorial contributions can be made to CHOICES Life Resource Center or The BreakAway in Katie’s honor. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
