Katherine "Kathy" Anne Walters

Katherine “Kathy” Anne Walters, 72, of Jeffersonville, IN passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 PM on Friday and after 9 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.

She was born on June 15, 1947 in Jeffersonville, IN.  She was a graduate of Jeffersonville High School Class of 1965 and was a long-time employee of Discount Labels Inc. before her illness.  She loved her family, was always involved in her grandchildren’s sports, and enjoyed camping, fishing and bowling.  She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross Pet Therapy Organization and always took Sam with her to Kindred Wedgewood Nursing Home.  George Strait was her favorite artist, attended many concerts throughout her life, and was a huge Joe Montana fan.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 26 years, Mark “Tony” Walters Sr.; parents, Duncan F. and Helena R. Kraft; and sisters, Judith Woodrum and Nancy Wall. 

She is survived by her children, Bobbi Jackson, and Mark A. Walters Jr. (Kari); niece, Pat Robertson; nephew, Mike Wall; eight grandchildren, Christopher Jackson (Nicki), Shaun Jackson, Katie Jackson (Jesse), Steven Jackson (Paige), Jennifer Jackson, Olivia Walters (Ian), Trentin Nunn, Kyle Walters and Izabella Walters; nine great-grandchildren, Natalie, Dakota, KiLeigh, Jacob, KayLynn, Brenden, Camryn, Kaden, and Aubrey; and her boys, Sam and Rascal.

Expressions of sympathy can be made to the American Red Cross of Jeffersonville Pet Therapy Organization.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
