Kelli Hicks Obituary

Kelli Rene Hicks, 42, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on June 4, 1983, Kelli lived a life defined by compassion, strength, and a heart that embraced everyone she met.

Above all else, Kelli was a devoted mother. Her children, Braylon Gray and Brooklyn Hicks, were her greatest love, her proudest accomplishments, and the center of her world. She was Braylon and Brooklyn’s biggest cheerleader — encouraging every dream, celebrating every victory, and standing beside them through every challenge. Her love for them was unwavering and unconditional, and she treasured every moment spent being their mom.

Kelli had a deep passion for photography and loved capturing life’s most beautiful memories. She also found great joy in creating and planning meaningful, beautiful events for clients at Millennium Events, where she poured her creativity and heart into helping others celebrate life’s most special moments.

She never met a stranger and had a remarkable gift for making others feel seen, heard, and loved. Through her own courageous journey of sobriety, Kelli became a beacon of hope for so many. She openly and proudly shared her testimony with anyone who would listen, giving encouragement to those in recovery and proving that transformation and healing are possible. Her strength inspired countless lives.

Kelli found happiness in life’s simple pleasures — especially caring for her beloved goats and her cherished dogs, Jack and Millie.

Kelli is survived by her loving husband of eight years, Travis; her children, Braylon Gray and Brooklyn Hicks; her parents, Kelly and Cindy Bain; her siblings, Candace Bain, Lauren, Kaci Williams (Richard), and Chad Bain; her nieces and nephew, Maysie and R.J.; her grandmother, “Mamaw,” Audrey Smith; her aunts and uncles, Kimberly Powers, Lori Steepleton (Jack), Sunnie Smith (B), and Mark Bain (Jena); the father of her son, Dawan Gray; her mother-in-law, Wanda Glayda; and numerous cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Margaret and Glenn Bain; her great-grandmother, Catherine Hammond; and her cousin, Waylon.
