Linda was called home by her Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 11, 2024. She was born on Dec 2, 1943.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, James I Sr & Margaret Wisendanger Potter. Plus, her eldest brother, James I Potter Jr.
She is survived by her brother, Robert “Bobby” Potter and sister, Nancy Kay Alexander (Ron).
Though not a Mother, she was the doting Aunt to 10 Nieces & Nephews, 19 Grandnieces & Grandnephews and now 9 Great Grandnieces and Grandnephews.
A lifelong member of St Augustine’s Church, she was a graduate of Jeffersonville High School and huge supporter of IU Athletics. She worked many years and retired from the Presbyterian Church.
She had an absolute amazing network of friends that referred to themselves as the “Traveling Sisterhood” that went on many trips together to many locations over the past 25 years. The Potter Family wishes to acknowledge how much these relationships were cherished by Linda.
Visitation will be at Scott Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 2pm to 6pm. A brief showing from 9am to 10am will occur on Wednesday morning with her funeral service to follow immediately at Scott’s Chapel. After the service, the procession will leave for Walnut Ridge Cemetery. A lunch will likely be provided too, but the location was not set at the time of this printing.
In lieu of flowers the family request that a donation be sent to St Jude Children’s Hospital or a charity of your choosing.
