Lowell Embry, 82, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away at his home in Jeffersonville, Indiana on Sunday, August 20, 2023. He was born on January 8, 1941 in Horse Branch, Kentucky to the late Claud & Clara Embry. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Embry; siblings, Lois Ashlock, Gracie Butler, Lucille Childres, Dewey Embry, James Embry, Morine Smith and Margie Ulrich.
Left to carry on his wonderful memories are his loving wife of 60 years, Margaret Embry; children, James Embry (Karla Herron), Mary Daugherty (Jon); siblings, Leonard Embry and Pauline Smith; grandchildren, Victoria Hancock (Danielle), Tanner and Katie Embry, Alison Middleton, Ryan and Collin Daugherty; great grandchildren, Brentley and Jackson Hancock and Kylo Embry.
Lowell retired from Louisville Bedding Company in 2004 after working there for 50 years. He was an active member of Bethany Christian Church for over 60 years, where he served as an Elder and taught Sunday School. He loved the Lord, his church and his family. Lowell had a servant heart and loved to laugh. He will be missed by everyone that ever knew him.
There will be a visitation held on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 3-6pm with service to follow at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
