Margie Anna Lorraine “Tootsie” Scott-Rockett, 73, of Radcliff, KY, passed away at the University of Louisville Hospital on September 25, 2021, surrounded by her family, friends, and loved ones. Anna was born in Miami, Florida, May 20, 1948, and was raised by Rev. William U. Baker & Mary Lou Baker alongside four siblings.
Visitation for Anna will be held Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN from 6:00PM – 8:00PM. Margie’s funeral service will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 12:00PM with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, IN.
‘’Tootsie,’’ as she was called by family and friends, professed a belief in Christ Jesus at an early age and was baptized as a member of the Lincoln Park missionary Baptist Church where she served in the choir and lead singer with the Heavenly stars gospel quartet.
Anna is preceded in death by her parents as well as her siblings; John B. Sims and Sandy U. Baker, and 8 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Anna is survived by her siblings; Rev. Georgia A. Baker and Wilma (James) Nelson, her children; James L. (Tracy) Scott, Tina Lynn Scott, Mary L. Hinkle, and Billie Michelle Scott, 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will all miss her dearly.
