Marie Ann Bennett

Marie Ann Bennett, age 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2025, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Clarksville. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana.

She was born in Providence, Rhode Island, to the late Anthony and Emma Rossi. Marie built a fulfilling career as a branch manager with Chase Bank, formerly Citizens Bank and Trust, where her professionalism and warmth touched many lives over the years.

Beyond her career, Marie was deeply committed to her community and her faith. She was an active member of the Jeffersonville Optimist Club and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, and she found great joy in serving others alongside her beloved husband, Dick, at the Soup Kitchen and Floyd Memorial Hospital. A woman of steadfast devotion, Marie could always be found volunteering at St. Anthony of Padua, where she lived out her faith through service, compassion, and generosity.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Richard “Dick” Lee Bennett; her brother, Gene Rossi; and her grandchildren, Tony Bennett and Lizzie Bennett.

She is survived by her two children, Jackie Flanigan (Dion) and Tony Bennett (Tina); her grandchildren, Hilary Hall (Matt), Trish Armenta, Katie Bennett, and Emily Motta (Jonathan); and her cherished great-grandchildren, McKenna, Tinsley, Addi, Gatlin, Lilah, Bennett, Henry, and Luna.

Marie will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her joyful spirit, and her loving heart that always placed others before herself. Her legacy of kindness and service will live on in all who were blessed to know her. Memorial contributions should be made to the Tony Bennett Memorial Foundation, 3105 Country Club Lane, Jeffersonville, Indiana.
