A Celebration of Life for Mark R. Pope, 66, of Sellersburg, IN, will be at 7 PM on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN. Visitation for Mark will be on Saturday from 2 PM – 7 PM at the funeral home.

Mark passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020 at his home.

Mark was born on June 20, 1954 to the late Angelo “Dickie” and Mildred “Tookie” Pope. Throughout his life, he was known for his quick wit and humorous personality. Mark could bring a smile to anyone’s face. He was also passionate about antique cars, and could often be found at local car shows.

Most importantly though, Mark was a family man. He adored time spent with his children and grandchildren, and was devoted to his wife, Debbie. He was loved by so many, and his spirit will carry on with his family for generations to come.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Deanna Haines.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Debbie Pope; daughters, Dena Clive (Robert) and Brooke Pope; grandchildren, Olivia Clive, Elizabeth Clive, and Keaton Pope; step-mother, Alice Pope; siblings, Steve Pope (Kelli), Chris Pope (Carlotta), Terri Dattilo, and Scott Mosgrove (Karen); special friend, Tiffany Peek; beloved cousin, Barbara Murray-Badgley; and a host of other extended family members and friends.

The family asks that Mark’s old car friends please drive their beloved antique cars to the visitation on Saturday. It will be one last car show in honor of Mark.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
