Martha Jean Brock

Martha Jean Brock, entered Eternal Life on Thursday, May 16, 2024. Martha was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to the late Leon and Dorothy Coomer.

Martha was a woman who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in the excitement and camaraderie of games of chance. Her love for throwing dice and the vibrant community at her local bingo hall brought her immense happiness and countless cherished memories.

However, Martha's greatest joy and fulfillment came from her family. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who served her family diligently as a homemaker. Her home was a place of warmth, love, and laughter, where she created a haven for her loved ones with her nurturing spirit and unwavering dedication.

Martha's legacy is one of love, resilience, and the importance of cherishing each moment with the ones we hold dear. She leaves behind a family who will forever be grateful for the love she bestowed upon them and the memories they will carry in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Cynthia Lynn Forster; her grandson, Brandon Carver; and brother, Walter Coomer.

Survivors include her children, Annette McGuirk, Rick Davis (Debra), James Forster, Walter Forster, and Melissa Reiter (David); siblings, Delores, Vicky, Darleen, Jeanna, David, and Doug; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 12-7 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2024, at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway - Jeffersonville. Funeral services 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the funeral home.
