Martha Lee Ferguson (Thomas) left this life for the next on Friday, November 8, 2024, surrounded by love.
She was born August 25, 1941 to Russell and Goldie Thomas of New Albany. Martha is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Herman and Herman’s wife, Donie. She leaves behind her siblings, Russell (Iris), Nelson (Norma), Barbara (Bob), and Dave (Gina), who will miss her dearly.
The light of Martha’s life were her four children, Brian (Bonnie), Tammy (Mike), Brad (Tracy), and Rob (Paula); nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She brought immeasurable joy and light into our lives with her kind heart, radiant smile, and quick wit. Martha, Mom, Mammaw was the soul of our family.
Martha was an avid bowler. She loved to line dance and lunch with her “Retired Pillsbury Ladies”. She loved to sew and crochet and took great joy in gifting her handmade items.
Loved ones and friends are invited to share their favorite memory and say a final goodbye 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway. Memorial services and a celebration of her life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2024.
