Mary Kay Thorpe was with us from April 3rd, 1947 to June 11th, 2022. She died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family.  Mary was born in Dayton Ohio April 3rd, 1947 to Marion and Marjorie Patten. She lived an adventurous life! As a child she moved overseas and lived in many different countries including Jordan, Indonesia, India, and graduated high school in Turkey. She has a passion for people and world cuisine. After graduating high school she returned to Dayton Ohio where she met and married the love of her life Raymond Thorpe in 1969.

Mary was a woman of many passions. She raised her children as an at home mother for many years. She later became a sought after tutor where she changed lives of numerous students. Throughout her life, Mary loved animals and had a special way with them. She pursued a business career as an entrepreneur as a private pet detective, owner of a dog grooming business, a kennel, and settled into her true passion with a pet sitting business. With the zest for seeing the world, Mary and her family traveled all across the United States camping and visiting all the sites our land has to offer. When travel was limited, Mary developed a love of Korean shows and cuisine.

She was a child at heart and loved spending time with her grandchildren, where her spirit truly came alive.
