Michael Campbell

Michael Loy Campbell, aged 75, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025. Born on January 31, 1950, in Louisville, KY, Michael lived a life of dedication to his family, military service, and church community. He possessed a truly remarkable work ethic throughout his career as an electrical engineer.

As a skilled engineer, electrician, pilot, and general fix-anything guy, Michael was never at a loss for a new project. He used his skills to engineer solutions and plans for everything from helping fix a front porch light to building a safe playhouse for his grandkids. He took immense joy in teaching his children and grandchildren, and loved sharing his skills and expertise during any project with everyone.

Michael was devoted to his family - father of Leah, Brent (Angela), Jennifer (J.R.), and Kacie, brother to Jan, and proud grandfather of Charles, Tessa, Callahan, and Reagan. Other beloved family members include Jean (Joe), Karen (John), and Skye.

Michael’s family invites all who knew him to a memorial service on Saturday, August 16, 2025, 2-5pm, at the Romara Place, 501 Romara Place, Louisville, Kentucky, 40222. All memories are welcomed for sharing between 3:30 and 4:30.
