Michael Dean Fields

Michael D. Fields, 64, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 11 AM at St. John Paul II Catholic Church, 216 Schellers Ave, Sellersburg, IN 47172. Visitation for Michael will be on from 4 PM – 8 PM on Monday, June 8, 2020 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN 47130.

Michael was born on July 10, 1955 in Louisville, KY. Michael was a soft-spoken, sweet and gentle soul who was loved by all who knew him, including animals, and he was certain to make you laugh with his playful sense of humor. He was also an adventurer, a fisherman, and passionate about his University of Kentucky Wildcats. Michael’s family meant everything to him, especially his girls.

Michael is preceded in death by his sister, Charlene Fields.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Carla Fields; daughters, Deanna Taylor (Brad) and Liz Fields (Jessica Bracy); parents, Charles and Betty Fields; siblings, Robert Fields (Lisa) and Shirley Vaughn; and a host of extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. John Paul II Catholic Church or Louisville Metro Animal Service. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
