Michael Mallory Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Dewayne Mallory, age 24, who was tragically and suddenly called home on Sunday, February 2, 2025. Michael was a bright and talented young man whose life was a testament to service, dedication, and love for others.

A proud graduate of Portland Christian School, Michael’s faith was the cornerstone of his life. He was a longtime member of Evangel North Church, where he found strength and community among his church family. His passion for service led him to an honorable career in the Indiana National Guard, where he served his country with great distinction. In addition to his military service, Michael dedicated himself to protecting and assisting others as a valued member of the Clarksville Fire Department. His selfless spirit was evident in his work as a certified EMT, Hazardous Material responder, avid marksman, along with a host of other achievements, always answering the call to aid those in need.

Outside of his professional and civic duties, Michael found solace in the great outdoors. Whether camping under the stars or kayaking on a peaceful river, he cherished nature’s beauty and the adventure it offered. His warmth, kindness, and steadfast dedication to his family and friends will never be forgotten.

Michael leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his devoted parents, Bob and Michelle Mallory; his beloved sisters, Christy Smith (Troy), Dena Mallory, and Jessica Zollman-Younghoo (Carrington); his grandmother, Sue Tomes; and his treasured nieces and nephews, Kimberly (Aaron), Kelsey, Brendon, Ria, Jack, Kyiah, Elisha, Weston, and Mille. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who were touched by his kindness and generosity.

Visitation will be held from 12-8 p.m. on Monday, February 10, 2025, and from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Evangel North Church, 1732 Thames Drive, Clarksville. A funeral service honoring Michael’s life will take place at 12 p.m. on Tuesday at the church, followed by burial.

Michael’s life, though far too brief, was one of purpose, love, and unwavering commitment to those around him. His legacy of service and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
