Mike Ouzts, 66 of Jeffersonville, Indiana

Michael “Big Mike” Gordon Ouzts passed away late Friday night, November 13, 2020.

Mike was born on an Army base in Fort Riley, Kansas on August 25, 1954 to mother, Josie Ouzts & father, Gordon Ouzts, who, along with his sister Gloria Ouzts have preceded him in death.

Mike is survived by Bob Vest, brother; Marie Kulmer, sister, and her husband Bruce Kulmer; and niece, Kirsty Kulmer; “Little” Mike Ouzts, son, and his wife Amber Ouzts; Andrea Ouzts, daughter; Kyle Ouzts, son, and his husband JC Nixon; and four grandchildren: Nicole Kinnaird, Joseph Pangburn, Connor Pangburn, & Kaelin Ouzts.

Mike was a loving father, brother, & grandfather. He retired from Local 502 Pipefitters & Plumbers Union after 25 years. He enjoyed spending time outside with a grill cooking in the backyard and friends and family gathered to share a meal. Mike never met a stranger – there was always a plate or pillow readily available when needed. He spent years working with Jeff Little League as a coach for youth baseball.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020 from 2pm – 6pm with a private funeral service at 6pm for family in the chapel of the funeral home. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, friends and family are asked to remain in their vehicles for a drive-by visitation as they pass by Big Mike’s casket and pay respect to the family.
