Michael Lewis Curtis (Mike)

Michael Lewis Curtis (Mike), 75, passed away peacefully at home on September 12, 2024. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Mike was surrounded by love during his final moments. He was a man of faith, and a longtime member of Eastside Christian Church, and a proud life member of Plumbers Local 107 and 502 for 55 years.

Mike was married to the love of his life, Margie Curtis, for 55 wonderful years. Their marriage was a testament to the power of love, faith, and commitment. Together, they built a life filled with family, friends, and cherished memories.

Mike took great pride in his work as a plumber, and his dedication to his trade was evident throughout his career. He found fulfillment in helping others and lived his life with honesty and integrity. A man of strong convictions, Mike often shared that he was "sure and secure" in his faith and confident in his journey to Heaven.

Mike leaves behind his beloved family, wife Margie; his children, Stacey (Jason) Hall, Michelle (Scott) Tincher, and his son, Alex (Blair) Curtis; grandkids, Tyler, Kylie, Will, Lucy, Caleb and Cori-Ann; and his cat, Carl Thomas; his siblings, Carla Carter (Mike), David Curtis (Neva) and Theresa Curtis; and host of family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Noema Curtis. His warmth, wisdom, wit and humor will be missed by all who knew him.  He enjoyed fishing, watching U of L and Cleveland Browns.

A service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at Eastside Christian Church, 2319 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville on Saturday, September 21 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. with his funeral service at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Eastside Christian Church building fund.
