Mona Bahlouz, age 53, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully following a sudden illness on Monday, August 11, 2025 at Norton Hospital.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Atyeh Zayyad and Fatmeh Ziyad, Mona will be remembered for her infectious smile, warm demeanor, and the way she never missed an opportunity to brighten someone’s day with a friendly wave. Her presence radiated kindness, and she had a gift for making everyone she met feel seen and valued.
A devoted Christian and faithful member of Calvary Apostolic Church, Mona’s life was marked by her steadfast faith and her commitment to loving and serving others. She treasured time with her family and church, and above all else, poured her heart into raising her children with love and grace.
Mona is survived by her children, Mohmmad and Aisha; and her siblings, Riyad “Ray”, Rawda, and Majida. She will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, and all whose lives she touched.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville. Pastor Bob Caton will officiate funeral services 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
