Murrel F. Phelps

Murrel F. Phelps, age 76, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025 with his family at his side. He was born in Somerset, KY on May 6, 1948.

Murrel loved the outdoors. He especially loved deer, rabbit and bird hunting, as well as fishing from his boat. In 2013 Murrel retired from Jeffboat as a pipe welder. During his career he helped build the Mississippi Queen and the General Jackson.

Murrel is preceded in death by his mom, Josephine Phelps. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Judy; his daughter, Penny (Mike) Lange; grandson, Tyler (Morgan) Tuttle and his great-granddaughter, Natalie.
