Nicolaas Charles Wiese, age 55, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Norton Clark Hospital.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Stacy H. Wiese and his four children - Nicolaas K. Wiese, Sierra Wiese, Kiefer Wiese, Andrew Wiese.
Also survived by his parents Nicolaas J. and JoAnn Wiese and his four sisters - Joni Ray (Fred), Janine Herrmann (Gary), Jenny Stopher (Brian), Nicolette Hickox (Joey).
Some knew him as Nico, Nick, Nicolaas, or Mr. Wiese in which he would have answered to any of the four. He was a dedicated Science Teacher at Jeffersonville High School since 1994 and was always involved in the Greater Clark Education Association (GCEA) in one capacity or another; being an advocate for teachers & students was of the utmost importance to him.
Everyone that knew him will miss him dearly and no words can even begin to describe the grief that only time can help us comprehend, as grief never truly "heals."
A Celebration of Life will be hosted by Jeffersonville High School and Principal Pam Hall to honor the husband, father, family, friend, neighbor, colleague and teacher we all knew and loved.
