Norman Dale Abell, Sr.

Norman Dale Abell, Sr. age 85, of Ramsey, IN, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born in Lebanon Junction, Kentucky on June 6, 1939, to the late Charles Lee Abell and Margie Lucille McCrea.  

In addition to his parents, Dale is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Kathleen Abell, his brother, Larry Muriel Abell, and step-father Hill McCrea. 

He is survived by his children, Dale Jr. (Danna) Abell, Tammy (Larry) Simcoe and Jeff Abell; brothers, Mike (Debi) McCrea, Layne, and Raymond Abell; sister, Charlyn Roberts; his grandchildren, Drew, Kyle (Jessica), Chad, Shelby (Ty), Cameron, and Brittney (Doug); his great-grandchildren, Carly, Paisley, Tripp, Axel, Dexter and Arya. Dale is additionally survived by his beloved dogs, Ghost, Peanut and Babe.

A memorial for family and friends will be held at the Wall Street United Methodist Church in Jeffersonville beginning at 4:00 pm, December 7.   

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made by making a donation to the “Jeffersonville Animal Shelter”.
