Patricia L. Wilcoxson

Patricia "Patti" Wilcoxson, 73, of Jeffersonville, died peacefully Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at Clark Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born August 20, 1940, to Ellen and James Middleton, she grew up in Jeffersonville, Indiana, with her brother Richard. She graduated from Jeffersonville High School, where she was a member of the KI-Ettes, and met and fell in love with Ronnie Wilcoxson, her husband of 27 years. She was a loving wife and devoted mother to their three children, Jimmy, Jill and Joni. After many years of service, she retired from Clark Memorial Hospital as the Supervisor of Medical Records.
Patti was an excellent Bridge player, and was in several Bridge clubs and tournaments throughout her life. She was a wonderful homemaker and loved to cook for her family, refinish furniture, and decorate her home with antiques and dishes she collected. She loved to sing and enjoyed listening to her children and grandchildren play music. She was an adoring grandmother to Alan and Lee.
Patti greeted everyone with a cheerful smile and a positive attitude in spite of her many health challenges over the last 40 years. She will be fondly remembered by many friends, and forever missed by her children.
Survivors include her son Jim Wilcoxson, and daughters Jill (Marc) Oca and Joni Wilcoxson (Jeff Adams), all of Jeffersonville; grandsons Alan Oca, Pittsburgh, PA, and Lee Oca, Louisville, KY; and brother Richard Middleton, Jeffersonville. She is preceded in death by her parents Ellen and James.
Visitation will be at Scott Funeral Home, Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN, on Friday, August 1, 11-4 pm, with a memorial service immediately following at 4 pm.
