Patricia “Trish” Marlene Hodges, 66, of Corydon, Indiana, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025, at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on August 7, 1958, in Buffalo, New York, Trish lived a life defined by faith, kindness, and unwavering love. She had the biggest heart and was known by all as a deeply selfless woman—always ready to help others, give a word of encouragement, or share a quiet moment of prayer. Her journey on this earth was a reflection of her deep compassion and abiding trust in God.
In 1977, Trish met the love of her life, John, and their bond became a beautiful example of devotion and partnership. Together, they created a lifetime of memories, including cherished annual motorcycle rides to Sturgis—her favorite seat was always on the back of John’s bike.
Trish served her community as a Travel Counselor with the Harrison County Tourism Bureau, where her warmth and welcoming spirit made a lasting impression on visitors from near and far. She was a proud member of Dayspring Emmaus and REC (Residents Encounter Christ). She was also a proud member of First Capital Christian Church and the former owner of Lemstone Christian Bookstore, where her love for faith-based literature and ministry touched countless lives.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, John; her son, Michael; her stepdaughter, Lynette Stuart (Kevin); grandchildren, Joshua and Sarah; two great-grandchildren; and her cherished dogs, Joey and Lucy.
A celebration of Trish’s life will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Freed From Within in Corydon, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Freed From Within, an organization that reflects Trish’s heart for transformation and healing.
Her life was guided by the truth of Romans 12:2:
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Trish’s light continues to shine through the lives she touched, the love she gave, and the faith she lived each day. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
