Patsy Laverne Jenks

Patsy Laverne Jenks, 91, of Jeffersonville, IN, was welcomed home and reunited with the love of her life, Dewey Jenks on November 7, 2023.

A memorial visitation will be held from 3 to 7 PM on Friday, November 17, 2023 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN. 

Patsy was born on February 28, 1932 in Indianapolis, IN, to the late Harold and Gladys Muirheid.  She was a beloved daughter, cherished wife, devoted mother, adored Nana, dear sister, treasured aunt and loving light to so many. 

She always made people laugh with her sassiness, but she especially made people feel loved with her warmth and kindness.  Throughout her 91 years of life, the strength of her spirit never wavered and as well as her love for desserts.

We were blessed to learn many lessons from Patsy during her 91 years on earth:

Pizza is perfectly acceptable at any event; there is always room for dessert; coffee is overrated, start your day off with a diet Pepsi; when playing cards, always lead with trumps; paper plates are the best invention; everyone should get to visit Walt Disney World at least once in their lifetime; and a good book can not only teach you but can unlock endless opportunities to explore your imagination.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dewey Jenks; daughter, Christi Jenks; and brother, Richard Muirheid.

She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Jenks; granddaughter, Julianna Jenks; two sisters, Sondra O’Neil and Pamela Brown; and many loving family members and friends.

The family would like to thank Maple Manor Christian Home and Hosparus Health in the final phase of her life.
