Phillip Alan Crain, 41, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023, in Clarksville, Indiana. He was born on September 8, 1981, to Dan and Bonnie Foley Crain in New Albany, Indiana. Phillip was an incredible husband, father, son, brother and friend. He was truly one of a kind and larger than life. Phillip was very passionate about life, and loved hard. He had a heart of gold, and would give the shirt off his back to a stranger in need. Phillip was all about the misfits, standing up for those who couldn’t stand up for themselves whenever necessary. He had a goofy personality, and loved to make people laugh. Phillip was driven to success. He was an accomplished high school wrestler, and continued that drive at Crain HVAC in Jeffersonville. Phillip was the best HVAC installer in Southern Indiana. In his spare time, he loved going deer hunting, working out, playing guitar, going to Pantera concerts with Danny, and watching the UFC and IU basketball games. Phillip will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Phillip is preceded in death by his friend and daughter Taylor’s mother, Carrie Gerdon.
Left to cherish his memory, Phillip leaves behind his loving wife, Heather Kempf Crain; 2 daughters, Taylor Crain, and Amira Ireland; parents, Dan and Bonnie Crain; brother, Danny Crain (Elizabeth); 2 nephews, Hunter Crain, and Brayden Crain; 2 fur babies, Lola, and Mongy; and a host of aunts, uncles, extended family, and close friends.
