A family service will be held to celebrate the life and memory of Rhoda Rae Hedge (formerly Scott) of Jeffersonville. A private burial will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery of Jeffersonville where Cissy will be laid to rest next to the love of her life, David William Hedge, also of Jeffersonville.

Mrs. Hedge passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 while in the care of Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany, IN and Scott Funeral Home was entrusted with her care.

If you knew her well, you know that all of her friends and family called her Cissy. If you knew her well, you also know that she loved all people and really would have liked a large joyous sendoff so that we could all laugh and cry together. The family apologizes that the current health crisis will not allow this to happen.

Cissy was born on January 28, 1929 to her parents Lloyd and Alice C. Scott in New Albany IN. If you knew Cissy well you were familiar with the twinkle in her eye when asked how a proud Jeffersonville Red Devil alumna and a retiree of the Greater Clark County School System could ever have been born in the rival county.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Dana, and brothers Lloyd “Barney” Scott (Seymour IN, and Charles “Butch” Scott (Ft. Lauderdale FL).

She is survived by her brother Roy “Sonny” Scott (Ft. Lauderdale) three children, Sandy Hedge Zelli and spouse Michael Zelli, (Jeffersonville); Missy Hedge Gibbs and spouse David Gibbs (Green Bay WI), Dave Hedge and spouse Nell Lang Hedge (Jeffersonville) and 18 grand and great grandchildren.
