Richard Cartwright Obituary

Richard Dwayne Cartwright, age 66, of Paducah, formerly of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021, 2:17 p.m. at his residence.

He attended Midwest Church of Christ in Jeffersonville, IN. He retired from Union Carbide as an Instrument Maintenance Mechanic and received his certification at the Institution of Engineering and Technology. Richard was a member of the Ram Rods Motorcycle Club of Paducah.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. Cartwright, Sr. and Thelma B. Davis Cartwright; and one sister Mamie Sue Cartwright.

He is survived by two brothers, James E. (Janice) Cartwright, Jr. of Charlestown, IN and Kenneth W. (Parketta) Cartwright, Sr. of Jeffersonville, IN; three aunts, Kate Davis of Jeffersonville, IN, Jennie Clark of Lebanon, TN and Addie Mae Cartwright of Louisville, KY; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, April 21, 2021, 12 noon at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home with Rev. C. T. Shackelford officiating. Burial will follow on Thursday, April 22, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at Eastern Cemetery in Jeffersonville, IN. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. till the funeral hour.
