Richard "Pete" McHolland

Richard “Pete” McHolland, 41, of Charlestown, Indiana passed away on August 18, 2024 in Toledo, Ohio. He was born on September 24, 1982 in New Albany, Indiana son of Harold and Cynthia McHolland.

Pete was a self-employed handyman known for his skilled craftsmanship and resourcefulness. Pete’s life was defined by his passion for adventure and the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid tennis player, a lover of the great outdoors, often found hiking trails and exploring new places and discovering hidden treasures through his passion for antiquing.

A true Grateful Dead or “Dead Head” fan, Pete embraced the spirit of the band’s music and carried that same free-spirited joy in his daily life. Above all, Pete loved and cherished his family and all their adventures together.

Pete was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Rose McHolland; his faithful companion, Chico. He is survived by his son; Kalvin McHolland; sister, Kennedy Bonnet(Ben); father, Harold McHolland(Debbie); step father, David Boome; Along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

There will be a Celebration of Life held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 12-4pm with service to follow at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
