Richard Joseph Sweeney, 53, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, November 22, 2020. He was born on March 29, 1967 to Patrick and Wilma Sweeney, who precede him in death.

Rick was a devoted family man, who enjoyed life very much. He was a hard worker, a friend to anyone, had a big heart, and loved a good laugh. Rick was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother and son. He was huge University of Kentucky fan.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 31 years, Cindy Sweeney; daughters Amber, Lacey, and Jessica Sweeney; grandchildren Payton and Jesse Newman; brothers Daniel (Lisa) Sweeney and Patrick Sweeney; sister Karen Bryant; and host of nieces and nephews.
