Richard "Junior" Sutton, Jr. Obituary

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:37-39

Richard Brent Sutton, Jr, age 42, of Charlestown, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 16, 2025. Richard was born in Pasadena, Texas on June 4, 1982 as the first son of Richard and Diana Sutton.

Richard is preceded in death by his mother, Diana, his brother, Derek and his grandparents. He leaves his two children, Kathryn Myers (Jesse), Derek Sutton, and his father, Richard Sr. as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Richard loved the outdoors and found much happiness from hunting and fishing. He looked forward to the first day of bow season for months beforehand and couldn’t wait to be in the woods with Derek for the first hunt of the year. He loved spending time with his children, Katie and Derek. Some of his favorite moments were under the hood of a truck with Derek making it faster and bigger or patiently shopping with Katie for that perfect dress. He loved them both with all his heart and was so very proud of their accomplishments and the beautiful young adults they had become.

Richard was a believer of the message of William Marrion Branham and devoted many years working toward the spreading of this message through his work at Voice of God Recordings. He never wavered on his belief and stand on the Word.

Richard battled the stronghold of illness for many years. He never gave up this fight and was hopeful and looking forward to all that this life still held until his last day when the Lord called him Home. All those who love him find peace and comfort in knowing that this battle is now over and it has been won. He is at peace now spending eternity with his beloved brother, Derek and his precious mother, Diana.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God. Romans 8:28
