Robalye C. Keith, 79, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025. She was born in Evansville, Indiana, to Robert "Bob" Collier and Mary Smith Collier, and from an early age, she embodied a deep love for learning, teaching, and nurturing those around her.
Robalye dedicated her life to education, touching the hearts and minds of countless students throughout her career. She was not only a devoted teacher but also a cherished wife, mother, and friend. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering support for those she loved left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her generous spirit was evident in every aspect of her life. Whether through a listening ear, a kind word, or one of her beautifully hand-knitted gifts, Robalye found joy in giving to others. Her knitting was more than a hobby—it was an expression of love, with every knitted stitch woven with care and thoughtfulness. Countless family members and friends were blessed with her baby blankets, sweaters, hats, mittens, scarves, and handmade creations, each a testament to her selflessness and generosity.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Richard Keith, who was her rock and greatest love; her devoted son, Ryon Keith, who brought immense joy to her life; and her father, Bob Collier. She also leaves behind her beloved cousins, Linda Hobbs (Rick) and Greg Collier, who were more like siblings, sharing in the laughter and love that made their bond so special.
Robalye’s family finds comfort in knowing that she lived a life full of purpose, love, and faith. Her legacy will live on in the lessons she taught, the kindness she shared, and the love she poured into her family and friends.
Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be 11 a.m. CST, Monday, March 10, 2025 at Sunset Memorial in Evansville, Indiana, where loved ones can gather to celebrate her remarkable life.
