Robert Couch

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Allen Couch, known as Bob Couch by many, who passed away at the age of 63 on April 18, 2026.

Robert was born on August 22, 1962 in Louisville, Kentucky, and resided in Jeffersonville, Indiana for much of his life. It is Jeffersonville where Robert and his brothers grew up together and spent much of their time involved in sports. For Robert, his love of baseball grew into one of a lifetime, sharing this love with his teammates, his family, and his community for years to come. 

Robert was a 1980 graduate of Jeffersonville High School. He worked for Couch’s Body Shop for 30 years, sharing his career with family. 

Robert loved baseball, swimming, and spending time with his children, with whom he shared loving memories at Clifty Falls, the ballpark, and at home. 

Most importantly, Robert loved his family, always instilling the importance of that bond in his children. Robert remained a devoted father, with many of his most cherished memories centered around coaching his children in baseball and softball in Henryville. As a coach, Robert spent countless hours guiding, encouraging, and cheering on not just his own kids, but everyone on the field.

Robert is preceded in death by parents, Kenneth and Lavon Couch, and his brother, Gino Couch.

He is survived by his four children, Bobby (Jolie) Couch, Brooks Couch, Dylan Couch, and Emily (Felice) Tempo; six grandchildren, Bella, Aria, Sophia, Eliana, Ava, and Lucia; and his brothers, Dale Couch and Jimmy Couch. 

Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for every moment shared through laughter, as his humor is one that created many fond memories. His legacy will continue through his children, grandchildren, and all those whose lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and always remembered.

Cremation services have been entrusted to Scott Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Robert’s life at 11:00 a.m. on May 3 at the Henryville Forestry.
