Bob Bedell set sail at the break of day on June 1st, 2022 at 0049 hours. Bob proudly served not only our country in the United States Navy as Petty Officer First Class Operations Specialist but also his veterans, as a Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Specialist and other various titles for over 40 years.
He is welcomed home by his parents, Robert and Melva Bedell, and his sister, Cynthia Bedell. He will stand watch over those who will miss him dearly, his wife Tammy Bedell; his brother and sister, Scott Bedell and Anna Becker (Daniel): His children Aaron Bedell (Amanda), Tiffany Williams (Neal), Andrew Bedell, Ryan Eckert (Arika) and Amanda Eckert. He will also be watching over the 8 grandchildren and many friends that he considered family.
Robert Franklin Bedell is known by many names, Rob, Bob, Son, Brother, Dad, Husband, and even Bobpa, but to all, he was a friend.
His mortal watch stands relieved by those that he guided, taught, and led... they now have the watch.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 5 from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, and Monday, June 6 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville. The funeral will be at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the funeral home with burial in New Chapel Cemetery.
