Robert (Bob) Shingleton, 78, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky.
Bob was born on December 16, 1946, to Roy and Nona (Davis) Shingleton in Clarksville, IN. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army and served as a Combat Engineer in Germany and Vietnam.
He retired from Brockway Plastics (Imco Containers) after 25 years and continued to work at IU Southeast until his retirement in 2011.
Bob was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud PawPaw. He was a faithful Christian and devoted member of Eastside Christian Church. He will be greatly missed.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Nona (Davis) Shingleton, and brother, Paul Shingleton. He is survived by his wife, Linda (Skelton), three sons: William (Billy) Shingleton (Susan), Roy Shingleton (Sara Beth), and Allan Shingleton (Lindsey), grandchildren: Arthur Shingleton and Baby Boy Shingleton (due in August), granddaughters Amelia Otto (Curt), and Sami Smitley, three great grandchildren Mackenzie Otto-Fabel, Cooper Otto, and Max Otto, brothers Gordon Shingleton (Shirley), Larry Shingleton, Mike Shingleton, sister Diana Favreau, and many nieces and nephews.
