Robert Earl Gossett

Robert Earl Gossett, 75, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023 at home in the presence of family. 

Robert was born on March 12, 1948 in Collierville, Tennessee to the late Lonnie and Louise Gossett. He was beloved by many and we will always treasure his memory. He was a loving husband, a great dad, a cherished son, a beloved brother and uncle, and a devoted friend. Robert loved spending time with his wife, children and grandkids. 

He graduated from University of Louisville with his Bachelor of Science in Commerce. Robert retired from Ford Motor company where he worked on the assembly line and as a union committeeman for 33 years. In his younger days, he enjoyed playing basketball and softball with his co-workers and friends. Over the years, he liked playing golf, was an avid poker player, and a longtime fan of the Louisville Cardinals and Tennessee Vols. 

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Louise Gossett and his younger sister, Barbara. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 42 years Diane Bolton Gossett; children: Grace Gormann, Sean Gossett, Josh (Kristina) Stubblefield, and Dallas (Chris) Schwartz; grandchildren: Noah, Stokely and Sawyer; sister Betty Tichenor; Niece Angela (Terry) Kaiser; great nephew, Jacob (Tiffany) Kaiser; great niece, Kalin.

A Celebration of Life will be at Harry's Taphouse, 130 W. Riverside Drive, Jeffersonville on Saturday, October 28th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
