Roxane Marie Sparrow, born October 26, 1961, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and family traditions that will be cherished for generations.
Roxane was the heart of her home and the center of her family’s world. She found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved, especially her grandchildren, who filled her days with laughter and purpose. Her home was always open—a place where her grandbabies gathered often, whether for a warm meal, a safe place to land, or simply to be close to her. She never hesitated to lend a hand, even driving them to work daily if needed, always putting their needs above her own.
She deeply treasured her Wednesday and every-other-Saturday family dinners—moments that brought everyone together around the table. These gatherings became a cherished tradition, something her family looked forward to with anticipation and love. Roxane also enjoyed cookouts, creating memories filled with good food, laughter, and togetherness.
Roxane was very proud of her work as a cosmetologist, having attended PJ’s Cosmetology School. She became the family’s trusted hairstylist, always ready to cut, style, and care for those she loved—another way she shared her time, talent, and heart.
She had a joyful spirit and a love for the little things that made life special. She especially loved Halloween—never missing a chance to enjoy Hocus Pocus—and found great happiness in decorating her home for Christmas, filling it with warmth, light, and holiday cheer.
Above all, she shared a deep and enduring love with her husband, a partnership that stood strong for 48 years.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Johnny; her loving children, Lisa (Josh), Misty (Bubby), Christy (Nick), and Jonathan (Donna); her brother, Troy Marcum (Josie); her cherished grandchildren, Alexis, Bryson, Mayson, Cameron, Paris, Colston, Ashton, Aubrey, and Jour’nee; her great-grandson, Kingston; son-in- law, Joseph Gamez, daughter- in- law, Katherine, and her beloved dog, Ellie Mae.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stoy Marum and Shirley Marcum-Bishop; her brother, Stoy Jr.; her sister, Joyce Merideth; and her beloved grandson, Zackary.
Roxane will be remembered for her unwavering love, her selfless heart, and the way she made everyone feel at home. Her presence was a gift, and her memory will live on in the lives she touched, the traditions she created, and the family she held so close.
