Ruby Lee Goins

Ruby Lee Goins, age 85, passed away March 12, 2024 with her family by her side. She was born in Clay County, KY on April 27, 1938 to the late Tom and Annie Gregory.

Ruby was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church. She loved flowers and gardening, especially raising her tomato plants. Ruby also loved traveling, cooking and canning.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandson, Michael Goins; siblings, Sammie, Steve, Oakley and James Gregory, Geneva Carpenter, Delia Hatfield and Julie Jones.

She is survived by her son, Lewis (Dottie) Goins Jr; granddaughters, Jessica and Michelle Goins; grandson, Robbie Goins; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Jordan Lewis; and her siblings, Denver (Jeanette) Gregory, Lucy and Cora Goins. 

Visitation is at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway on Thursday, March 14 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm and again on Friday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with her funeral service at 12:00 in the chapel of the funeral home.
