S. Rajpal Singh, a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a proud entrepreneur, passed away suddenly on March 7, 2026, in New York City. He was 73 years old.
Rajpal Singh was born on November 22, 1952, in Dadiana, India, to the late S. Gurdev Singh and Harbachan Kaur. From humble beginnings, he carried with him a strong work ethic and a determined spirit that would shape the course of his life. With courage and hope, he later embraced the American dream, bringing his dedication and ambition to the United States.
In New York City, Rajpal Singh worked tirelessly to build a better future for his family. Through perseverance and vision, he founded Mohali Cab Service, becoming known throughout his community for his boundless energy, entrepreneurial drive, and willingness to help others succeed. His work was more than a livelihood; it was a testament to his determination and belief in opportunity.
Above all, Rajpal Singh cherished his family. He was a loving husband to his wife of 41 years, Manmohan Kaur, and a proud and supportive father and grandfather. His greatest joy came from the time he spent with those he loved, celebrating milestones, sharing laughter, and creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Rajpal Singh leaves behind a legacy of hard work, generosity, and deep devotion to family. He will be remembered for his warm spirit, resilient nature, and the many lives he touched along his journey.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Manmohan Kaur; his children, Supreet Kaur (S. Pritpal Singh) and Harkaran Singh; his cherished grandchildren, Mehtaab and Mehnoor; his sister, Jaspal Kaur; and his brother, S. Rajinder Singh, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home, with cremation services to take place immediately afterward the same day. Religious ceremonies will will be held 1:30 p.mp. the same day at the Gurudwara of Sikh Society of Kentucky, 198 Thompson Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206
Though his passing was sudden, Rajpal Singh’s life stands as a powerful example of faith, perseverance, and love for family. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
