Samia Reign Winbush

Samia Reign Winbush, at just 4 months old passed away on Jan 22, 2020 surrounded by her mommy and healthcare team.

Visitation services will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, Jan 31, 2020 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515, Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, IN, with a graveside service to follow at 12:00 PM at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. 

Mia, known as Samia Reign Winbush, was born on September 22, 2019 at just 1 pound in Louisville, KY to Shemeika S. Winbush.  Since the very beginning Mia was determined to make her own path in this world. She did not come with guidelines, nor a set of rules. No instructions were included. So me along with the nursing staff had to follow her lead. Mia, nicknamed “Feisty” by her nurses, was a very strong, beautiful, determined and loving baby. She loved watching her cartoons while snuggled in her mommy’s arms on Saturday mornings. She also loved napping in mommy’s lap, while listening to her to owl sing lullabies and watching her little stars. Samia is deeply missed by many. 

Samia is preceded in death by her aunt, Ieshia Jaqual Winbush.

She is survived by her mother, Shemeika; aunt, Marquitta Hill; uncle, Larry Caldwell; grandparents,

Shreka Winbush, Christan (Bubby) T., Juanita Parker, Jaterrica Parker, Johnny Parker Sr., Johnny Parker Jr., and Delores Winbush.
