Sarah J. Reynolds

Sarah “Sallie” J. Reynolds, 85, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Friday April 8, 2022 at her home. She was born on July 15, 1936 in Louisville, Kentucky daughter of Edward Michael and Mary Margaret (Bohn) Hook. Sallie was a matron and caregiver for the Holt Masonic Orphanage for many years and was a dedicated worker. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Jeffersonville, Indiana and a member of APET Shrine Guild, Eastern Star Chapter #327 and The American Legion Auxiliary. Sallie also enjoyed bowling, playing cards and spending time with her loving family.

In addition to her parents , she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Reynolds; 3 brothers, 5 sisters; granddaughter, Megan Crafton; great granddaughter, Gracie Hurt; life companion, Ralph Doss. Sarah is survived by her daughters; Debra Reynolds(Pierre Vendette), Cynthia Stepp(John Ely); son, Kenneth “Mike” Reynolds(Paula); sister, Regina Gnau; 6 grandchildren, Nicole Riddle(Randy), Kenny Stepp(Tiffany), McKenzee Reynolds, Kacey Reynolds(Cholie Yost), Patrick Doss, Teri Bales-Nichols; 5 great grandchildren, Rylee, Hayden, Jaxson, Auden, Zeke and her faithful companion, Marley.

There will be a visitation held on Monday, April 11, 2022 from 4-8pm at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana. Service will be on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 12pm with more visitation before from 10-12pm at Scott Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
